The 2024 World Power Battery Conference will be held in Yibin City, Sichuan Province, China, from September 1 to 2, 2024. This will be the third time Yibin has hosted this conference, with the theme “New Quality Power · Creating a Green Future.” The conference is organized by the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government and hosted by the Yibin Municipal People’s Government and the Sichuan Provincial Economic and Information Technology Department. It is expected to attract nearly 400 guests, including representatives from the UAE and leaders from domestic and international industry associations and major enterprises.

Industry Background
Yibin is known as the “Power Battery Capital of China,” and the power battery industry has developed rapidly in recent years. Sichuan Province has formed a complete industrial chain for power batteries, covering lithium resource development, material production, battery component manufacturing, and recycling. In 2023, the power battery output in Sichuan Province reached 105.4 GWh, accounting for one-sixth of the national total, with a year-on-year growth of 56.4% in the first half of 2024.
